Her influence was so profound that the Metropolitan Museum of Art honored her with an exhibition celebrating her unique eye and lifelong creativity. Beyond fashion, she did good in the world by encouraging people, especially women, to trust the way they were made and to take up the space God gave them and to use this one gifted life to the fullest. She stayed curious, worked late into life, and lived with gratitude for her gifts instead of hiding them. Iris died at 102, leaving behind a reminder that creativity is not accidental—it’s a calling.
